Complete Scoutmaster conference

You’ve now sat through a Scoutmaster conference at Tenderfoot and another at Second Class, so the format is familiar: a one-on-one conversation, not a test. What’s different this time is the content you’re bringing to it.

What’s Different at First Class

This is the biggest rank yet — thirteen requirements covering camping, cooking, tools, navigation, nature, aquatics, first aid, fitness, and citizenship, on top of Scout spirit. Expect your Scoutmaster to draw on all of it: the campouts you actually camped on, the orienteering course you actually ran, the emergency plan you actually wrote for your own home.

Getting Ready

• Review each requirement and be ready to talk about what you actually did, not just what the requirement says.
• Bring your activity log from requirement 1a and your fitness log from requirement 8a.
• Think through your Scout spirit examples from requirement 11 ahead of time.
