*Beyond the Rank*

## Congratulations on Earning Eagle Scout!

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is a profound accomplishment that stays with you for the rest of your life. You have proven that you possess the grit, leadership capability, ethical integrity, and commitment to service required to make a lasting difference in the world.

## Continuing Your Journey Beyond Eagle

Becoming an Eagle Scout is not the end of your Scouting career; it is the launchpad for a lifetime of leadership and service:

### Earning Eagle Palms
If you remain registered in a troop, crew, or ship prior to your 18th birthday, you can earn **Eagle Palms** to recognize additional merit badges and continued leadership:
- **Bronze Palm**: Represents 5 additional merit badges beyond the 21 required for Eagle, plus 3 months of active participation and leadership.
- **Gold Palm**: Represents 10 additional merit badges (5 beyond Bronze), plus 3 months of active service.
- **Silver Palm**: Represents 15 additional merit badges (5 beyond Gold), plus 3 months of active service.
- *(Note: Any excess merit badges earned prior to your Eagle board of review may be instantly awarded as Palms at your initial Eagle court of honor).*

### National Eagle Scout Association (NESA)
Join the **National Eagle Scout Association** ([nesa.org](https://www.nesa.org/)), a worldwide fellowship of Eagle Scouts. NESA provides exclusive academic scholarships, career networking, fellowship events, and opportunities to stay connected with fellow Eagles throughout your adult life.

### Mentoring the Next Generation
As an Eagle Scout, your example in the troop is powerful. Consider serving as a **Junior Assistant Scoutmaster**, **Troop Guide**, or **Eagle Project Coach** to help younger Scouts navigate their own path to Eagle.

### Planning Your Eagle Scout Court of Honor
Work with your family and troop committee to design a meaningful Eagle Court of Honor ceremony. Celebrate the leaders, parents, mentors, and fellow Scouts who supported you along your journey.
